Enjoy a Fun Day in the Sun With These 15 Must-Haves

While many people simply throw a towel in the car and apply sunscreen, there are beach accessories that can make your day in the sun even more enjoyable. Remember that you don’t have to go to the beach to have fun, relax, and take a refreshing bath. You can also take the kids to a pool, spa, or waterpark. In this instance, a large pool/beach bag and a shade beach tent, among the other products and accessories, are still required to keep you comfortable and protected from the sun and pests.

1. Carry Bag for Beach Accessories

Don’t forget to bring a sturdy beach bag! Forget about sand heaps at the bottom of your backpack that you can’t shake out. A mesh sand beach bag simplifies life by allowing you to shake the bag to release the sand, rinse it out, and hang it to dry. Furthermore, the mesh allows you to see what’s within more easily, and has multiple departments for you to keep things separated and well-organized.

2. Pop Up Beach Shelter

A good beach tent will keep you out of the sun, and the best ones are lightweight, easy to set up, and won’t blow over in the wind. Pack a tent along with your beach chairs, a beautiful beach umbrella, and a sturdy drinks and food holder to make the most of your beach day.

A shade beach tent provides a more consistent shade than an umbrella. Shade is essential for infants, children, pets and adults with sensitive skin. The interior is always kept cool by preventing the sun’s rays from entering. Beach tents from reputable brands have adequate UPF ratings (SPF 50), which is sufficient to protect your skin for the majority of the day.

3. Folding Beach Table

This practical, lightweight and personal-sized beach table keeps your drinks off of the sand while also keeping them cool in a cooler beneath the table section, which contains four cup holders and a snack bucket. It folds up into its carrying bag and is constructed of waterproof material.

4. Cooler on Wheels

Ideal for use at the beach, pool, camping, tailgating, and travel. When not in use, this pop-up cooler shrinks flat (and can tuck into the huge mesh beach bag above) to keep food and drinks cool. This way, you’ll have fewer bulky things to carry back to the car and more space to store them.

5. Beach Drink Holder

Use a beach coaster to keep your drink stable. The arching corners keep drinks firmly in the sand. Get yours in neon colours to make it visible, so people don’t knock your drink over because they can’t see it. Coasters are also great for soccer games and picnics on grass so you can make use of them in multiple ways.

6. Lunch Bag Cooler

Food in the afternoon and lots of water are required for a fun day at the beach, water park, pool, or even a picnic. However, a lunch cooler bag is required to keep your fruits and sandwiches fresh. Although it may not fit inside the beach bag, it is nevertheless an important item on your beach essentials list.

7. Waterproof Playing Cards

With this handy deck, you may enhance your seaside entertainment. To begin with, your cards will not become wet because they are waterproof. Second, because they’re made of plastic, they can remain stationary on the sand. Play an old-fashioned card game with friends or family instead of using the phone and have a blast under the sun.

8. Additional Entertainment

I’m assuming you already have a beach or pool playlist and a speaker ready, or perhaps you like to give in to the soothing sound of waves as a wonderful accompaniment to your favourite seaside reads. If you’re going on a family vacation with children, don’t forget to pack some games, magazines, and books.

9. Sand Toys

There are no beach essentials without sand toys for the kids! The toys might not fit inside the beach bag (especially if there are a lot of them), but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be there. Kids adore them, and let’s face it, adults enjoy playing as well. For example, building sandcastles can be a brief but sweet remembrance of childhood.

10. Inflatable Beach Gear

Inflatable water mats and swimming rings for children should also be included in your beach bag basics. After all, having fun in the sun means having fun in the water, especially for the kids. And don’t forget to bring an air pump to make the whole process easier.

11. Extra Clothes and Underwear

When you want to leave the beach and head home or to the hotel, your swimsuit is still wet, or your clothes have become sandy and sticky. Sometimes you want to go somewhere else straight after leaving the beach or pool, but your sandy flip-flops and little shorts aren’t going to cut it. A change of clothes is required for any dressing demands you may have to get you out of any jam.

12. Beach Towels

This might be the most obvious item, but I’d still like to remind you to bring yours. Beach towels come in a wide range of forms and sizes. Don’t forget to renew your beach towel collection with a vibrantly coloured velour terry towel in a generous size. After all, don’t you need more space and comfort during a fun day in the sun? Remember to carry a smaller towel (facial or hand towel) as well.

13. Sunscreen & Aloe Gel

Is it necessary to emphasise the need of using high SPF sunscreen to avoid sunburns and other health issues? I suppose not. Even if the sun appears to be less hot and bright, you should never forget to use sun protection lotion. UV rays are still present and can be harmful so you need to stay safe at the beach. The aloe gel can assist with providing relief with sunburns.

14. Sunglasses

Long summer days at the beach with family and friends might result in catastrophic accidents (especially when the kids jump all over the place in excitement). As a result, consider an extra pair of sunglasses to be a beach bag requirement. Furthermore, do not bring your luxury sunglasses to the beach. If you lose or damage them, you will be disappointed.

15. Hat

Another must-have item is a cap for each member of your group to wear all day at the beach. Hats will make your stay much more pleasant and secure. A colourful bandana or scarf is another option.
