Whether you live in a huge house or in a micro apartment, you probably know how poor organizing can lead to an extremely cluttered space. I sure do. Well, instead of getting rid of the things I needed or hiding them under my bed, last year I decided to find a more reasonable solution for this problem and resolve it the stylish way. With the help of my friend who is an interior designer, I have managed to keep a great number of my personal things and store them properly. And, except for being functional, the home storage products I opted for are also quite appealing.
Storage Ottoman
The very first type of stylish storage option I decided to invest in is my cute little ottoman. While adding comfort and style to my living room, it also provides me with a storage option where I can place all my bits and bobs like some souvenirs and the TV controller. However, you can also use it for storing files, DVD and game controllers, or even some snacks for the late movie nights. All in all, except for using it to rest my feet when unwinding on my sofa chair, this cute little rounded ottoman also helps me store some souvenirs I love and don’t want to throw away.
Wooden Plant Stand Shoe Cabinet
Quite often, in small spaces like mine, there is no room for large or several furniture pieces. Therefore, as a second investment regarding home storage products, I decided to go for a wooden plant shoes stand cabinet thanks to which I can now finally incorporate some greenery in my home. Sturdy, stylish and convenient to move around, this wooden cabinet allowed me to keep plants at its top, while filling the rest of the shelves with some souvenirs. But the thing I love the most about it is the shoes cabinet option with fancy doors that allows me to store my night-out shoes. The one I chose is in dark brown colour made out of pine wood and it also has a little bit of that vintage look I love the most. The best part is that you can place it wherever you want, in the kitchen, in your hallway (if there’s has enough daylight for the plant), in your garden, etc. Size wise, there was plenty of options to choose from and mine is 118cm tall and 47cm wide as this was the maximum I could afford in my hallway.
Scale Down Shelves
As I already mentioned, I love everything vintage, so the last thing I chose (so far) is the scale down shelves storing option that gave me the best of both worlds in my bathroom – a beautiful display and an extra storage space for a great number of my toiletries. Since my bathroom is painted in a lighter colour and my vanity cabinet is white, I decided to implement woven storage baskets that now give the bathroom a more homey and warm touch.
