Relaxation on Hold: Spa Problems I Hired Professionals For

I’m a huge fan of swim spas. After I learned that a quality pool spa can help me kiss my sleepless nights goodbye, relax my tense muscles and joints, and ease my worried mind, I decided to purchase one. It’s true, pool spas are a bit costly, but once I realized that investing in one is in fact investing in my general well-being, I didn’t hesitate to spend a portion of my savings on this wonderful luxury.

When it comes to maintaining my spa, I realized that taking care of one is similar to taking care of a hot tub or a swimming pool. The only thing I do is use certain chemicals and a clarifier to keep the water and the spa clean and safe. Luckily, I haven’t had a lot of trouble with my pool spa so far (hopefully that won’t change in the near future), but I have experienced several common spa problems.

Even though there are many articles on the Internet that give instructions on how to repair certain spa issues, I firmly believe that hiring spa repair technicians is the smarter choice. Read on to find out what spa problems I turned to professionals for.

Heater Failure

Several months ago, I noticed that my spa is having a hard time getting warm. I searched for answers and solutions on the Internet, but I didn’t want to risk making a costly mistake. That’s why I hired spa repair professionals who fixed the issue quickly. I learned that heating problems are usually a result of heating element corrosion. This can be caused by low pH level in the water supply. The technicians I hired informed me that this issue can be easily avoided with proper water chemistry maintenance.

Water Leaks

Water leakage is another common spa problem. Since water leaks can cause electrical shorts, I turned to professionals. They checked my spa for leaky pump seals and inspected the filter. According to them, making sure the filter is clean is the ideal way to avoid leaky sealing.

Loud Noises Coming Out of the Spa

Humming noises coming out of my spa is the third and last spa issue I’ve had thus far (thank goodness). I hired pros for this problem because I read that this isn’t the spa problem I want to repair myself. Loud humming or hammering sounds are signs of a malfunctioning pump. If you too have this issue, make sure to hire reputable service technicians who will determine whether the pump should be repaired or replaced with a brand new one.
