Being fond of hunting as a hobby can change you as a person because it’s bound to take you away from your comfort zone, get you right in the middle of a territory that’s not yours (even if you’re familiar with it, it’s not your home) so it takes you outside, and that’s a plus in the sedentary driven life today.

Also, it brings out your survival instincts, and let’s face it we still have hunter-gatherer bodies, and earns you a meal by actually spending effort in getting it.
