More and more people are viewing cleaning products in different ways, and by this I mean that it wasn’t that long ago we didn’t really need to read what was in the ingredients. I certainly didn’t really see the need to read what kind of chemicals were inside my cleaning products. It was just something that never really occurred to me. In fact, I’m pretty sure nearly everyone was using these products without thinking twice about what was inside them. There is no doubt that nowadays we look a little further into what we’re using in our homes and just how great they are.
When you use quality products you save a lot of time, which means that you actually save time to do other things. When the quality of a product or solution is just not that great it takes a lot longer to get the result you want. This is especially important for those of you who have busy schedules. Having the right products can really make all the difference. You really want to make sure that you are also getting the right protection against bacteria and germs. When you use low quality products you might not be disinfecting everything like you think you are. If your cleaning products don’t have the right ingredients to remove all those germs then you may be harboring a lot of bacteria.
There are some great brands out there that make quality window cleaning products that are eco friendly but if you want to avoid any chemicals at all I’ll also give you a recipe for an all natural window cleaner and it also acts as an all natural mirror cleaner. These are all things I have tried and tested personally and use in my home all the time.
Vileda is a brand that I keep coming back to when I need to get the job done quickly and efficiently. The first product I always reach for is the ‘Magical’ cleaner. It is one of the best quality window cleaning products on the market these days. I use this stuff everywhere! I use it on my windows as well as in the shower. It’s really effective at getting rid of soap buildup and anything else that might be in your shower. The second product I always reach for is the Vileda glass cloth. It is such a great product and it is a great way to wipe down your windows without using any chemicals at all. Just rinse your window with some water and wipe away any marks.
Now onto my all natural recipe. It is both environmentally friendly as well as family friendly, and it is a great alternative if you have little kids. To make this recipe you will only need to mix up a few different ingredients. You will need two cups of water, half a cup of white or cider vinegar, a quarter of a cup of rubbing alcohol (preferably with 70% concentrate) and last but not least, one to two drops of orange essential oil to give it that great smell (essential oil is optional though). All you need to do is fill up a spray bottle with these ingredients, give it a good mix and you are ready to go. This is also great in combination with the glass cloth I mentioned earlier.
