Improve Your Vehicle’s Performance with the Right HKS Parts

When racing is in your core, performance comes as second nature, which is what HKS has proven to be the case for many decades now. Founded in 1973, the Japanese performance car parts company has been manufacturing its own parts for decades.

They began in the field of forced induction first and slowly expanded to suspension components and fueling system components. During the 1990s and 2000s, the company started to expand globally and ever since, it has been synonymous with upgrades that deliver tried-and-true performance gains.

Turbocharger

In their extensive line of products, a few HKS automotive parts stand out for performance and reliability. The Japanese manufacturer specialises in turbo kits with both actuator and wastegate options available. You also get to choose between a full kit and a bolt-on kit, as well as a wide range of support parts such as extensions, flanges, gaskets and more. You can’t go wrong with an HKS turbocharger, whether for your sleeper car or circuit chaser. If it’s the former, a turbocharger kit with an actuator is a great choice, while the latter requires a kit that includes a wastegate instead.

Exhaust

There are multiple factors to consider when selecting performance exhausts, but with HKS’s exhaust kits, your choice is more streamlined. There are enough options to choose from that don’t complicate things, such as muffler kits and axle-back kits. If you want to go all in on your vehicle’s exhaust system, you can choose the super exhaust system kit or the exhaust and boost-up package, which combines a turbo with a complete exhaust setup.

Supercharger

If a turbocharger isn’t enough for your enthusiast or racing needs, a supercharger kit can be the solution. You can choose either their universal supercharger kit or a vehicle-specific kit for a more custom build and more power gains. Whichever kit you go for, you can expect a compact unit that looks like a turbocharger but offers improved acceleration over a wider RPM range. The brand’s own superchargers don’t experience what is known as “jam” at higher RPMs either.

Intercooler

All that power creates a lot of heat, and heat in an engine with forced induction is best controlled with an intercooler. Intercoolers are made specifically for the turbo or supercharger, but the company also offers oil, differential, transfer oil, SST fluid, A/T fluid and DCT cooler kits. You can even get radiator caps, cooler parts, a thermostat, a piping kit and the coolant itself from the brand.

Fuel

When changing or tuning a turbo or supercharger, it’s important to upgrade your fueling system with the injectors and fuel pump being at the forefront. HKS’s lineup of kits in this category includes injector upgrade, fuel upgrade, fuel delivery and high-flow surge tank kits. You can also get fuel regulators and a fuel pump as individual components. Since the brand offers injectors that spray fuel towards the head and improve atomisation, you get better A/F response.

Brakes

The brand also offers a full braking system, including discs, callipers, pads and brake lines. Your vehicle needs to control all that power from any of the above upgrades. This way, you get everything you need for a safe and exciting drive, be it on a back road or the track.

Clutch

The brand’s LA, or Light Action, clutches are known for delivering sharp yet light shifts while handling high levels of torque. The twin plate LA clutch can handle close to 720 Nm of torque without issue, while the single plate LA clutch can handle 520 Nm. The twin plate model can be used on engines that produce a total of 700 PS, while the single plate model can safely handle 450 PS.

Body Kits

A low drag coefficient matters more than you might think when it comes to both acceleration and cornering. With a more aerodynamic profile, your vehicle will be more “slippery” as air hitting it won’t go directly into the windshield or bumper, especially not with a body kit. You can only go with a full body kit when it comes to aero HKS performance parts.

Coilovers

Unlike body kits, there are several coilover sets available, including Hipermax G, S, and R. All of these aftermarket parts feature a single-tube design. With Hipermax G coilovers, you can expect an OEM level of ride comfort, while with Hipermax S coilovers, you get a balanced ride suitable for both daily and spirited driving. Hipermax R coilovers are made only for track cars with aggressive setups. You can also get their MAX IV coilovers, which are suitable for sporty rides, drag racing and drifting.

Intake

You can get their Super Power Flow, Racing Suction, Premium Suction, Carbon Racing Suction and cold air intake kits for a more efficient and quicker acceleration. The kits can be complemented with performance parts like racing chamber kits, air intake ducts and air flow less adapters.
